A bathroom remodel touches nearly every part of your home’s plumbing, from supply lines and drains to venting and fixture placement. A+ Plumbing has handled remodel plumbing across South Central Wisconsin since 2000, and our licensed team works alongside your builder, designer, or contractor so the plumbing is right before the finishes go in.
We are licensed and insured, we display License No. 223243, and every job is backed by a one-year workmanship warranty and our 100 percent satisfaction guarantee.
Our remodel plumbing work commonly includes:
The work usually runs in two stages. The rough-in happens once framing is up and the layout is fixed: supply lines, drains and vents are run, and tub or shower valves are set into the wall. Everything is pressure tested before it is closed up, because once tile and drywall are on, changes get expensive.
The finish stage comes after tile and cabinetry, when fixtures, trim, the toilet and the vanity are connected and tested. Scheduling matters here — fixtures need to be on site and correct before finish work starts, since a substituted tub or a different valve trim can mean opening a finished wall.
Recurring leaks, slow or gurgling drains, a toilet that rocks or runs, low water pressure at the shower, staining around the tub base, or fixtures that no longer match how the room is used are all reasons to look at the plumbing rather than patch it again.
Moving fixtures versus keeping them. The single biggest factor in a bathroom’s plumbing scope is whether fixtures stay where they are. Keeping the toilet, tub and vanity in their existing positions keeps the work to connections and trim. Moving them means relocating supply, drain and vent lines, and drains in particular have to hold a consistent fall, which is what makes a moved toilet or shower a structural question rather than a cosmetic one.
What is behind the wall matters. Older bathrooms in this area often reveal galvanised supply lines, undersized drains, or venting that was acceptable when it was installed but no longer is. An open wall is the cheapest opportunity you will get to correct that.
If you are already planning cosmetic changes, that is the right moment to fix layout and piping problems while walls and floors are open.
Whether you are updating a single bathroom or planning a full renovation, our licensed team can handle the plumbing side of the project. Call 608-437-8822 or send us a message to talk through your plans.
Plumbing work is easiest and least expensive to change while walls and floors are open, so bring us in once the layout is settled and before finishes are installed.
Not always. Keeping fixtures in their existing positions reduces the work involved. Moving a toilet, tub, or shower means relocating supply, drain, and vent lines, which is a larger job.
Yes. We regularly coordinate with builders, designers, and remodeling contractors so the rough-in matches the plan and the final connections are ready when finishes go in.
